Who we are
LoveLane Store (“LoveLane”, “we”, “us”) is operated as part of the LoveLane platform in Zimbabwe. The buyer-facing storefront lives at store.lovelane.co.zw. Reach us at hello@lovelane.co.zw for any privacy question.
What we collect
Account details
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, profile picture, and a stable Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password.
Order details
The delivery name, phone, address, suburb and city you provide at checkout, plus the items in your order. Guest orders include just the contact details you typed into the checkout form.
Payment metadata
We never store card numbers or mobile-money PINs. Our payment providers (Paynow, EcoCash, Innbucks) confirm success with us using their transaction reference only.
Approximate location
If you allow it, we use your device’s coarse location once to suggest your home city. You can decline and pick a city manually instead.
Strictly necessary cookies
We store an access token, a refresh token, and your city preference in your browser so that you can stay signed in and not re-pick your city on every visit. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
We use your information only to operate the marketplace: place and fulfil your orders, send you a tracking link by SMS or email, contact you about an issue with a purchase, recommend products in cities we serve, and prevent fraud.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed for an order to actually happen:
- Vendors on a per-order basis — the delivery name, phone, address and items they need to fulfil their portion of your order. Vendors agree not to use this information for any other purpose.
- Payment providers (Paynow / EcoCash / Innbucks) — the amount, currency, your phone for USSD flows, and an order reference. They are independent processors with their own privacy policies.
- Couriers when a vendor uses one — the delivery address and recipient phone for handoff.
We never sell or rent your information.
Where it’s stored
Account data, orders and product imagery live on servers we run ourselves. We use HTTPS for everything, JWT-based session tokens, and database access is restricted to operators.
How long we keep it
Order records are retained indefinitely to support tax, warranty and dispute handling. Profile data is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account at any time — we’ll remove personally identifying fields but may retain anonymised order data for our records.
Your choices
- You can review and edit your saved addresses on the account page once signed in.
- You can switch between SMS and email tracking on every guest order at checkout.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@lovelane.co.zw.
Children
LoveLane Store is intended for buyers aged 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll note the new date at the top of the page. Continued use of the storefront after changes means you accept the updated policy.
